"We envision a community where every person has the opportunity to have a safe place to call home."
Welcome! The Sutter Yuba Homeless Consortium is a coalition of non-profit and faith-based organizations, representatives of local government jurisdictions and homeless advocates. It is estimated that there are over 900 homeless in the Yuba-Sutter area. The mission of the Sutter Yuba Homeless Consortium is to coordinate all available services and maximize resources to better serve the homeless population in Sutter and Yuba Counties.
Homelessness is caused by many different life circumstances including job loss, mental illness and addiction. The Sutter Yuba Homeless Consortium envisions a community where every person has the opportunity to have a safe place to call home.
The first step to finding permanent housing solutions for our homeless population is to connect these individuals and families to local services and programs. The next step is locating affordable, sustainable housing solutions.
There are a number of ways that you can help! Contact us to find out more!
